She states that from "Willingham Family, Eight Generations" compiled by Donna Williams, Anniston, AL. Possibly John + Elizabeth must have come to America in the mid or late 1600's. From 1704 onward there are recorded 3 young Willingham brothers all living together in Prince George Co., VA. They owned about 400 acres of land. Ref: Bristol Parris Reg. Some researchers only have John + Elizabeth as having 3 sons. I have added Wm. + Isaac and when this is proven right or worng I make corrections.

He was involved in a civil court case in 1694 in Charles City Co., VA; Jack, an Indian of John Willingham, is judged 7 years old and Robin, an Indian of same, is judged 4 years old. John Willingham and Elizabeth _____ sold land on 5 Aug 1695 in Charles City, Charles City Co., VA to John Young.

Thomas sailed on 23 Jun 1635 at age 23 to Virginia aboard the America which was owned by William Barker (Mary Barker's father). The America sailed from Gravesend, England and reached the mouth of the James River around 1 Aug 1635. They proceeded directly up river to cast anchor at Jamestown.
Thomas went on about 30 miles up river, and located on the south side in Charles City Co., opposite Westover, and at the mouth of a creek which was called "Chappell's Creek", named for him.
