Well, I've listed a couple of small things I've learned about my S4 Avant that did not appear in the manual or were incorrect in the manual. I've also added some operational peculiarities that are in the manual (but are not obvious) and other tidbits found along the way. Hope it helps!
This is not as described in the S4 Avant user manual. Do not press the Stop button before programming. The Stop button LED should not be lit to program the seat memory. To program, press and hold the Memory button and then (with the Memory button still depressed) press and hold the intented seat memory key number (1-through-4). Listen for a very faint electronic click (like a relay closing) coming from the area of the seat where the seat controls are mounted.

To program the remote key for seat memory; press and hold the intended seat memory number; then with the memory seat number still depressed, simultaneously press and hold the remote keyless entry unlock button for several (count to five) seconds. The seat should not move when you do this.

Mostly, there is no explanation that I can find about what "automatic" means in this context. With my 528i, it meant using a "sensing" wiper. Not so for the S4. The "automatic" setting for the rear window wipers apparently means this:
You will not believe what one Audi service counselor told me. Check this:
********************Incorrect Information Follows********************
1. Push the stalk forward and hold.
2. Pull the stalk back to the off position, past the detent.
3. Wait. When you have determined the appropriate "interval" you want,
push the control forward to the "automatic" postion and hold again;
then release (but do not pull to the off position).
The wiper now "automatically" assumes this new interval until you turn it off by pulling back past the detent.
(Yeah right. That just does not work.)

The service guy also said this (actually part of a separate conversation about programming the remote key, which I learned from an AW post later the same day):
"Well, not every technical detail you need is going to be in the manual."
I know that, but uh, wiper operation and remote key programming aren't supposed to be THAT technical, are they?
To tell the truth, I put these here so I will find them later (if I need them):
