C. J. Sage edits The National Poetry Review. Her poems have appeared and are forthcoming in numerous international and national magazines including Ploughshares, Shenandoah, The Antioch Review, Black Warrior Review, The Threepenny Review, Verse Daily, Smartish Pace, Salt (UK), Poetry East, Iron Horse Literary Review, The Seattle Review, Chautauqua Literary Journal, 32 Poems magazine, The American Poetry Journal, and many others, and have won several literary awards. Ms. Sage is also the editor of a new poetry anthology, And We The Creatures, featuring the work of fifty excellent contemporary American poets including David Baker, Scott Cairns, Gregory Djanikian, Joseph Duemer, Stephen Dunn, Stuart Friebert, Jason Gray, Amy Holman, Bob Hicok, Jane Hirshfield, Tina Kelley, Ted Kooser, Sarah Lindsay, Wesley McNair, Jane Mead, Lawrence Raab, David Roderick, Diane Thiel, Chase Twichell, David Wagoner, and Charles Harper Webb. Her first collection of poetry was Let's Not Sleep (Dream Horse Press, 2002). Another of her books, Odyssea, is forthcoming in spring 2007 from Turning Point Books, and Field Notes, a lit reader, is forthcoming in 2006.
