Extra Help and Teacher Schedule

You are encouraged to come for help as often as you need it.  Some of you who have always done well in mathematics in the past may feel that coming for help is the mark of a weak student.  Quite the contrary, it is the mark of a strong student who cares about excelling.  If it is a matter of pride for you that you have never needed help before, grow up!  You will find the problem sets in this course very challenging.  I am here to help.

You may meet with me at lunch, on a "free" period, or after school.   Meeting with me at lunch is best for times when you have a few quick questions.   It does not require an appointment; I eat in Room 104.  Meeting with me on a "free" period or after school is better for extended help, but a prior appointment is necessary.  To make an appointment, you may see me at school or send me an e-mail at pahlborn@comcast.net.  I normally check my e-mail every evening around 9:00 and 11:00.  When I confirm the appointment, I will give you the location where we can meet.  If your schedule and mine do not have any mutually free periods, you may make an after-school appointment.  If several of you are going to miss the same class for a school activity, I am happy to conduct an afterschool "class" to reteach the lesson at a time that is mutually convenient for the group.
