FOOTBALL BOOSTERS MEETING
August 11, 2009

Welcome and Call to Order:
- The meeting was called to order by President John Payne @ 7:05
P.M.
July Minutes:
Motion to approve the June minutes with stated above
amendment was made by Donna Barry, 2nd by Tina Leopardo, approved by
all.
TreasurerŐs Report:
- The clubŐs available funding as of August 11, 2009 is
approximately $12554.89.
- Additional payments are due from the golf outing.
- An additional expenditure for the raging waves trip for
approximately $600.00 will be paid out of the booster funding that is not
accounted for in the August 11th balance.
Central Booster Update:
- No Central Booster Report at this time.
- The Central BoosterŐs are sponsoring a Cardiac/Free Heart Scan for
all STCE students. John
handed out a student permission form and wavier. This free service will be conducted on campus September
17th and 18th, additional information and online
registration can be found on the STCE school website.

The Central Boosters will need approximately 100 parent volunteers to
help with this screening, mandatory volunteer training will be required for
those interested in volunteering.
Two volunteer training sessions will be held at STCE on Tuesday,
September 16th from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Coach FieldŐs Report:
- The successful golf event was a great day for the
whole program and very much appreciated.
- Cleats will not be ordered as a team, the preference
is black shoes.
- Varsity numbers will be assigned on Thursday, August
14th and the players will be assigned both home and away jerseys.
- Players will only be issued black pants for both home
and away games, the jerseyŐs are traditional, so both pants and jerseyŐs
and will be easily replaced.
- The varsity captains will determine sock color and
height of socks.
- Sophomores will wear last yearŐs varsity jerseys, and
the freshmen will be in black jerseys.
- It was requested to Coach Fields that rosters with
players and associated information would be needed for the Season Program
and Button committeeŐs.
- Picture day will be August 17th at Noon in
the stadium.
- Still a concern about the number of junior players
returning this year, only 12 players returned from the 40 that
participated last year, would be interested in any concerns or
suggestions.
- Raging Wave team trip was a huge success, the team is
looking forward to making this an annual event.

- MomŐs practice will be held on Friday, August 14th,
at 6:00 in the stadium with the Senior boys leading the practice.
2009 Programs Update:
- Golf Outing – Kathy Russell
- The golf outing cleared $9500.00 in profit for the club.
- There were 15 less golfers in attendance from the previous year.
- In the future would like to get alumni involved and to participate
in the golf outing.
- Discussion surrounding various dates that may draw more
participation, will continued to be discussed.
- Tim and Kathy Russell, Kurt Lanthier, Dean and Kelly Kelley will
be available to chair this event for the 2010 season.
- Spirit Wear – Cathey and Rod DeVries
- Order will be arriving on Friday, August 14th.
- Team Hoodies will be available on the vendorŐs website for
ordering.
- Opening Game Day shirts were ordered by John Payne, 500 shirts
ordered with a cost of $10.00, pricing will be set at $12.00 to $15.00.
- Game Programs - Joe

- All is completed with the final items will be sent to the printer
on Friday, August 14th.
- Varsity Gold – Todd Striedl
- The Varsity Gold program is scheduled to begin August 14th
with a kick off meeting with the players at 1:00 p.m.
- Each player will be asked to sell 15 cards at $20.00 per card,
totaling $300.00 per player fund raising goal.
Old Business:
- The Black and Orange scrimmage will be held on Friday, August 21st.
- Set up for the Black and Orange scrimmage event will begin at 3:30
p.m., if any questions, please contact Kathy Russell.
- Players will begin to be served at 4:30 p.m. with the scrimmage
starting at 6:00 p.m. in the stadium.
- Pre-Game meals will consist of a sub-sandwich, chips, drinks, and
dessert. All served in the
commons.
- Game Videos will be produced by Coach Saldana and will be $100 fro
the whole season.
- A DVD copier tower will be ordered and estimated to be $800.00
- Coach FieldŐs will look into announcing the game on the DVD.
New Business:
- Preferred Parking as a fundraiser was discussed. This would encompass the first
four rows, approximately 60 to 70 cars, pricing for the season would be
suggested at $100.00. All
proceeds would be directed to upgrading the weight room, which benefits all
athletes in any sport. (Coach
FieldŐs commented that the school administration was negative toward this
type of fundraiser given they wanted to ensure it was affordable for all
game participants attendees and their families).
- Opening Game Day shirts were introduced.
- John Payne to propose Central Booster monetary participation
toward upgrade of weight room.
- Tina Leopardo will look into comedy night at Zanies (Pheasant Run
Resort) as a fundraiser, on Thursday nightŐs it is free to St. Charles
residents, any organization can sell tickets and set the ticket pricing
and keep the proceeds.
Meeting was adjourned @ 8:01 P.M.
Next meeting will be Tuesday, September 8th,
2009 @ 7:00 P.M.
