guitar, mandolin, bouzouki
A native Detroiter,
Gerard moved north with his
family at an early age to the township of Emmett, a community located in the
“thumb” of Michigan, named for Irish patriot Robert Emmett. While Gerard’s
musical tastes embraced many styles from hardcore, jazz and rock to classical, he
began to assemble his repertoire of Irish ballads and tunes in 1992. Gerard
sings and plays electric and acoustic guitar, mandolin, bouzouki, bodhran and
concertina. His most recent recording is a solo album Hamtramck: Heaven.

Terry was born into an Irish household on
Detroit’s west side and his spent his childhood immersed in Irish traditional
music and folk songs. As Terry grew older, his interest in the music grew too
and soon he was appearing regularly in local pubs, concerts, festivals and other
venues, singing and accompanying himself on guitar, 5-string banjo and mandolin.
Terry also plays Irish bouzouki, bodhran and tin whistle. Terry is featured on
numerous recordings with other Detroit area artists and his solo album was
favorably reviewed in Irish Music magazine.
