Welcome to
my personal homepage. This version represents the third major
change to the format since I first began developing a
website around 1997 and utilizes a few new tools. In each instance, I have tried
to improve the "quality" of the page, so that you, the
reader, have a good experience while visiting my website.
It is truly a work in progress, as the family's
activities continually change. As time permits, I plan to
incorporate a few more techniques to gain experience
with the latest scripting tools.
Grab a cup
of coffee and spend some time navigating around. You
have three ways to access the other pages: click
on the images below; click on the links on the left side
of this screen; or select from the menu located below
the banner
at the top of the screen. When you desire to return
to this screen. press the "Back" button on the
Tool Bar at the top of the page.
At the
bottom of the page, there is a little slideshow with six
pictures of the boys. Press the left and right
arrows, but DON"T push the "Go" button as it is not
activated.
Oh, I
published my third book in 2006.
It is a 250-page book regarding the descendants of
my great-great-grandfather, Thomas Grant, and is titled, Grant Me A Little Space
In History. You can read more about it below.
Feel free to
send me your comments. Thanks for stopping by!

Descendants of Thomas Grant
- A summary of the Grant
surname, beginning about 1778,
the estimated year of Thomas'
birth. I am his
great-great-grandson. I
consider myself a 4th generation
Texan. There are over
2,000 individuals and 575 surnames in my
database. The narrative
includes photos, a family tree
and a brief discussion of our
Grant DNA project, and a little
information about my
great-grandfather's stint in the
Texas Legislature. |

Farkle
- A Game of Chance with a Texas
Tradition -
Since 1980, we
have been playing Farkle with
friends and relatives. A
few years ago, I began selling
the games on the Internet.
Farkle only takes about 20
minutes to play and there is
almost no strategy, just a lot
of luck and a little common
sense! This link will take you
to my Farkle page. |

St.
Philip's United Methodist Church
- Not only is St. Philip's
our church, I am the
webmaster with a lot of help
from another member
who designs websites for a
living. It is my pride and
joy because it is most
sophisticated work to date, utilizing
online sermons and newsletters.
In addition, the site has
expanding and collapsing
menus to display and hide a
multiple of topics. It is
well worth a look. |

San
Jacinto High School Class of
1957 Reunion50
- The Class of 1957 (my class)
had its 50th
reunion on April 28, 2007 at
Regal Ranch in Stafford, TX
(just outside of southwest
Houston. More than 175
classmates and spouses paid to attend.
There were about 430 graduates
in our class (with about 100 either lost or deceased).
I became a major player in the
project as the editor of the
Email Corner, a column in our
quarterly newspaper, and
ultimately co-chaired the
comittee. |

Books I
Have Written
- Since I retired in 2000, I
have written three books and have
one more in progress. The
amazing Internet has made it
possible for the average person
to write and self-publish books.
To date, I have given away
almost all
of them to family and friends.
This link will take you to a
page providing a little more
information about each book, should
you have an interest. |

Our
Recent Trips
- In the
past 9 years, we have traveled
to various parts of the world
with our friends whom we have
know for over 30 years, when we
all attended a Sunday school
class in Houston. While we
have not all gone together on all
trips, we have traveled with one
or more of the couples or went
with our retiree travel group.
You can read about these
trips by going to this link. |

Our
Grandchildren
- Our triplet grandsons were
born in 2001 and have been the
joy of our life. They have
been a part of our daily lives
since their birth, but recently
moved to central Texas. This link
will take you to a few selected
photos of them together over the
years. |

Grant-Guerrero Photography
- Our
oldest son, David, is a
professional photographer in
Austin, TX. He and his
partner have been working
together for more than 12 years.
Their primary business is
weddings and portraits, using
natural light in the late
afternoons for most of their
portraits. The photo to
the left is David's business
card and the link to his website. |

St.
Philip's United Methodist Church
Handbell Choir-
I have been playing handbells
for more than 20 years.
Though I do not read music, I
can follow my notes and have a
little fun along the way.
In those years when we had a
full compliment of adult
members, we played in shopping
centers, for our church and at
FebFest. At FebFest, there
were more than 500 ringers
playing at once. This link
will take you to photos of the
group, |

My
Favorite Photos
- Over the
years, I have been fortunate to
have taken a few pictures
that I considered to be some of
my best work. I need to
update this site, as I have more
photos to add to the page. This link
takes you to another site that
illustrates my work.
Incidentally, the photo to the
left is not mine, but one of
another photographer. |
