So, you want to know about me, heh? Well, for starters, I am a 22 year old graduate student in Maryland, studying history and focusing on military affairs and US foreign policy, especially international organization relations. I am what you get when you mix a five year old watching the History Channel and growing up on a military base. But as much as I love history, it is not my only passion. I spend my free time at the movie theatres all the time, waiting in the lines an hour early reading classical literature and listening to my dying discman... you might be very surprised how much free time you can have waiting for your busy moments in life. I prefer reading books written before 1950, but of course there are notable exceptions, including the absolutely wonderful Harry Potter books. Sci-fi is one of those categories that the stories are absolutely the best or the worst possible. Lord of the Rings and the Chronicles of Narnia finish of my top three favorites, with Catch 22 and Jane Austen coming up close afterwards. Naturally with movies, the Lord of the Rings and HP are among my favorite, but to finish off my top ten, Star Wars (the entire series as one listing) Ever After, Phenomenon, Center Stage, What A Girl Wants, Princess Diaries, Mulan, and the Parent Trap (both of them). As for music, Movie scores and soundtracks are the best- James Horner, James Newton Howard, Howard Shore, John Williams, and a few notable others, can produce some of the best, most emotional instrumental music-absolutely powerful stuff. The last, but largest part of my heart goes to my dog, Cocoa. Part black lab, and part something else, we think it is doberman, she is almost three. My mom's secretary found her under her car in a parking lot in suburban DC, and she called up my parents and offered us Cocoa. We are pretty sure she was abused in the ten weeks she lived with her previous family (we got her when she was only ten weeks old) because she hates to be yelled at, and completely craves attention from every member of my family. She lives to please us, and to go on car rides... Speaking of car rides, my last love is my brand new car. Yes, it is only a Civic, but it is my brand new, shiny, perty blue Civic
