The World's Largest Touring Rally --a la WOW®

Americade is a laid-back 50,000-person "summer camp" for distance riders. It takes place every year at the beginning of June in Lake George, NY, a "touristy" but scenic town in Adirondack State Park.

The Patriot chapter was there in force! Check these pix out to see what they were up to.

 

 

Natural Bridge and Caves, an pleasant 1-hour ride from Lake George. They even give you walking sticks to use while you are there. "Tourist-y" but interesting, and great gift shop. Look for the wooden postcards!

At the Maritime Museum on Lake Champlain. A few hours of very pleasant riding gets you up here on the Vermont side of the lake, fascinating bit of history about the birth of our country that you probably never knew about!

At the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake, NY--another blissful 1-hour ride from Lake George. Is this a really biiiigggg chair or what??
