Denied the love of his father, Marvin Gaye won it from an adoring public.  He left his Washington, DC home, became a legend, and changed the world with his music.

Marvin’s Trial is a human portrayal of the life and death of the Motown superstar.  A simple story about a man who desperately wanted to be loved.  This new stage fiction spans half a century and two continents – exploring Marvin’s experiences with love, jealousy, abuse, and ambition.  It is a rich theatrical portrait of a man who endured struggles – with family, with music, and with fame – and who paid a tragic price for everything that he earned.
