"The Life of a Dinosaur"
Objective - SWBAT use
Writer's Workshop to develop a journal of daily events of their favorite
1) Students will use their background knowledge of their favorite dinosaur to develop a brainstorm web of what the dinosaur could experience every day.
2) Students will use this web on a daily basis to create a journal, as though they were their favorite dinosaur.
3) As part of the Writer's Workshop process, students will implement a new skill in each new journal entry (nouns, verbs, adjectives, punctuation, etc.)
4) Students will also follow the steps of Pre-write,
Draft, Revise and Edit, Re-write, Publish.
Students will be evaluated on their writing progress and the authenticity of their dinosaur's daily events.
