About SAPSFounded in 1977, the Schaumburg Area Photographic Society (SAPS) has a membership of approximately 40 people, and has remained one of the largest camera clubs in the Chicago area. The club promotes activities designed to help members learn and improve their photographic skills. Programs and workshops are held on meeting nights and consist of outside speakers, how to demonstrations, and hands on workshops. Throughout the year there are several 3 day weekend outings as well as 1 day field trips. SAPS membership includes all levels of photography ranging from beginner through advanced amateur and professional. Member photographers use a variety of photographic media, ranging from traditional darkroom to digital imaging.
SAPS is a member of (CACCA) "Chicago Area Camera Clubs Association" and (PSA) "Photographic Society of America" |
