1941 Hudson Commodore
This 3 passenger, 6 cylinder business coupe sold new at Hudson Triangle Motors on Beverly Blvd at Virgil in Los Angeles, CA and owned by the same family for 60 years. This Hudson was parked in a garage 40 years ago [between 1971 and 1974] in Reseda, California. This "Special Coupe" was ordered as a 3 passenger business coupe made from a 6 passenger club coupe. Note the rear side windows but no back seat and an extended trunk. Many rare period accessories. As of April 2011, it still held its original paint on the roof, body, and rims. The odometer read 26K miles and the car was running, but needed to be done through for reliability.
It was been cleaned up and preserved since its discovery, but not restored in any way. Unusual, long-lost memorabilia and artifacts including photos, travel documents, maps, sunglasses, spare Hudson parts, etc. were found in the garage.
Has some rust in the trunk. Interior was re-done in 1953 and still had plastic on the seat. New 16 inch white walls.
In 2011, was being offered for sale at an asking price of $9,500 with Bill of Sale only.
1963 CA black plates as well as 1951 CA plate were registered to the car and will remain with it.
