(above) Color Corps leads precession for Memorial Mass. Our annual
Memorial Mass was held November 14, 2008 at St. John the Evangelist
Church. The service honors the lives and memory of recently deceased
members and spouses who served in the Knights of Columbus Bishop McNamara
Council #1622, the Knights of Columbus Bishop McNamara Assembly #384 and
the Court of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton #278 of the Catholic Daughters of the
Americas.

Commemorative Service for recently deceased members and spouces being conducted at the beginning of the Mass. This year's service honored Father Wayne Funk, Daughter Vicky Dobucki, Daughter Theresa S. Meyer, Mr. C. Casper Moore, Jr., Daughter Patricia O’Connor, Daughter Geraldine M. Slagle, Daughter Virginia M Vasold, Daaughter Elsa R. Wertenbaker, Daaughter Joan Winchester, Sir Knight Alfred Borrero, Sir Knight Daniel Brockway, Sir Knight Robert G. Engler, Sir Knight James R. Moore, and Mrs. Cora Musser. The Mass was co-celebrated by Father Dick Murphy and Father SK Dan Goulet and attended by Father SK Leo Tittler. |

A pot luck dinner followed in the Church hall and included donations by Café Anglais English Tea Room, Clustered Spires Pastry Shop, Danielle’s Restaurant, Dutch’s Daughter Restaurant, Gladchuck Brothers Restaurant, Hard Times Café, La Paz Mexican Restaurant, Loew Vineyards, Longhorn Steakhouse and McCutcheon’s Apple Products, as well as pot luck dishes provided by the participants. Special thanks go to event coordinator Dave Satterfield, organist John Widmann, cantor Bob Sheehan, lector Larry Lindner, altar servers Litty Cutchin and Josh Tokar, Eucharistic Ministers Don Rohr and Ruth Dredden, the Knights of Columbus Color Corps led by Bob Jack, sound and photos by Rob McNickle, drinks by Jim Schneck, coorporate donations coordinated by Dave Shumway, food pick-up by Jose Rector and Tom Plunkett, commemorative service participants Regent Bonnie Rohr, Vice Regent Loretta Fahy, Treasurer Eileen Borowski, Grand Knight Bill Wierzbicky, Deputy Grand Knight Rick Casazza, Faithful Navigator Dwayne Singleton, and for the help of many others. |
