Winnie So was born on August 2, 1980 in Hong Kong. From an early age it was clear that Winnie was special, and that she was destined to find her love on the other side of the world.

Winnie spent her first 13 years in the small, but dynamic city of Hong Kong. Her family then moved to Lancaster, PA where Winnie started high school. The transition was difficult, but Winnie excelled in school. When it came time for college Winnie almost attended Penn State, but something pushed her to attend University of Pennsylvania.

And during those first few days at Penn something special happened...

Steven Sbar was born on August 21, 1980 in Tucson, Arizona. From an early age it was clear that Steve was going to be trouble. Steve had very demanding toy needs and was not shy about sharing his opinions.

Steve's family moved around a bit while he was growing up. From Tucson to Dallas, to Houston, to London, and finally back to Houston. Through all of Steve's experiences there was still something important missing. When it came time for college Steve considered attending UT Austin, but one visit to University of Pennsylvania made up his mind.
