Book Eighteen: Heaven The first things Judhistir sees when he reaches heaven is Duryodhan sitting on a throne. He asks where his brothers and Draupadi are because that is where he wants to be. The gods tell a devine guide to take Judhistir to where his brothers are. The guide leads him to a dark and filthy place. The place has an awful stench and is filled with the most awful things imaginable. But, Judhistir hears the voices of his brothers and Draupadi. They tell him that his presence makes them feel better, so Judhistir decides to remain in this hell. Dharma again appears to him and tells him that he was testing him again. The fact that Judhistir would remain in hell to keep his brothers happy shows what a great man he truly is. Dharma also tells him that all people must see both heaven and hell. Now that he has seen hell, it is time for him to go and enjoy heaven with his brothers. He goes to heaven and sees all his beloved family. They have all left their mortal bodies and are now enjoying the pleasures of heaven. ****Please press the back button to return to the previous page****
