We are the Bhattacharjea Family, and this is a picture of us. From left to right, we are: Lopa, Raj, Anuradha, and Sudhamoy.
Our family is originally from Bangladesh. Everyone in my family except for me (Raj) was born there. The beautiful music you hear in the background is our National Anthem, "Amar Sonar Bangla" (My Golden Bengal) written by Rabindranath Tagore. Below is the flag of Bangladesh. In 1971, after Bangladesh gained its independence, the new flag was adopted. A red sun rising over a green field symbolizes the beauty that is Bangladesh. Also below, is a map of Bangladesh. Both of my parents were born in a city in Bangladesh, called Sylhet. It is in the northeast portion of Bangladesh, and is a beuatiful place, amid lush greenery, and immense tea gardens.
