Lucy and Sophie hit the road for the 2007 Golden Retriever Nationals that were held in Snohomish, Washington.  So join the girls for their big adventure.
 

 

Since I have been to a National before, it was decided that I would keep the diary for the trip.  "Dear Diary, tomorrow we start the big adventure!"
 
 

 

 
 

 
The trip north from Oregon seemed pretty normal and easy until we ran into a place called Seattle!  All these cars!  Were they all going to see me and Sophie at the Nationals?

 
 

 

Our first stop was at the Snohomish Inn.  This was a really nice hotel and the people there were all Golden people just like us!  How relaxing and fun.

The Certificate for Conformation Assessment was a long process where I was judged by three different judges against the Golden Retriever Standard.  In the end I was awarded the CCA!

Here we are saying hello to our friends from Arizona.  They drove a long way to promote Golden Rescue!
     

We had a great time and will always remember having fun in the nice grass rings at Snohomish!
     

Sophie would do her best to encourage and be positive, but since she was just a pupster, she would find the soft grass just too tempting and would curl up for a nice long nap!
     

Sophie and I took some time out to pose in the plane!  Well the National was at an airfield wasn't it?
The main competition took place under a very threatening sky on Saturday.  More than 100 champions competing for the main prize.  This was the high drama that everyone came to watch!  This would be an all day event!
   
Well that was it for another great Golden National Show!  Nothing to do now but a little bit more shopping and pack up the car for the trip back to Oregon.
Me and Miss Piggie.  We are recognized at every show as we go for walkies! Two pretty tired pups dream of the fun and get ready for the long drive home.
You just have to ask yourself "Now just how high does the river get here that you need a fish crossing?" Here is a real award!  But we could not figure out how to drag it home behind the car!
