SBYRA regattas are PHRF handicap-based sailboat races open to any interested sailors with or without yacht club affiliation at all levels of competition- from beginners to advanced. We offer a series of monthly races during the summer and winter season for on-the-water competition and friendly post regatta camaraderie. Racing in south San Francisco Bay offers a variety of racing venues that has its own unique geographic, meteorological and tidal challenges and charms - from the protected lee of the BayView district to the shifting winds below the shadows of the San Bruno Mountains to the windy slot of Coyote Point to the unpredictable South Bay of Sequoia Yacht Club courses. Sailing in south SF Bay is challenging, exhilarating and rewarding way to enjoy your boat and develop your sailing skills in both spinnaker and non-spinnaker divisions.

SBYRA also host a number of sailing or racing related lectures, on-the-water clinics and seminars throughout the south bay area yacht clubs. We invite all interested sailors to join us in the Corinthian sport of sailboat racing. To sign up, please download this
pdf version of the SBYRA
race invitation, print and fill out the registration form and mail the completed form to Jocelyn Swanson, SBYRA Secretary, or for additional information, please contact any of the SBYRA
officers from their email links or send an email
to the INTERIM SBYRA Chair.
