Well in case you have not figured it out my name is Steve I live here in the Dallas area and most of my spare time is devoted to MOPAR!!  Just so you know I am a Printed cicuit board designer so this is a hobby, I do my own work, its slow that way but when I say I restored it I mean, I restored it.  Although the paint was the only thing I did not do on the Charger, the Coronet will be different. Here are some pics. Please be patient there are several pics on this page and it take a few seconds to load as soon as I can figure how to speed it up I will!!!

Another bullet look alike, with a paint brush paint job!! When I found it, it was full of 67 Satellite interior parts seats, console....... it was not full of dash parts!!!!!!!

Squirrels had moved in under the hood found Pecans EVERY where! Even in the air cleaner?!?!? Never would have thought they were smart enough to unscrew the wing nut and get in but there was a dozen nuts in there and more down the carb.?!?! The 383 had a bad expansion crack in the valley and the guy I bought it from tossed in a 440 so I was forced to use it.

While restoring the car I stumbled across a 6 pack and I mean stumbled , I was in a small town eating at a Sonic having a burger and seen a black 70 Charger go buy I fired up the Dakota and took off!! never was able to catch up or find the Charger!!!  but then stumbled across a General Lee look alike sitting in a Drive way, so seeing I could find the first car I was chasing I went up to see if the guy had any extra parts or wanting to sell the car.   The guy said only thing he had was a old used intake and carbs that they never could get to work and it caught fire a couple times.   The guy opened the trunk and there was what was going to be my 6 Pack!!!!!, I bought it ( for $400) so now its part of the car!

Little by little evening by evening in the driveway it started to look like a charger Again.  I can't tell you how many gallons of aircraft stripper went on this car  but if it gives you any idea I had to take of 1 coat of brushed on black one coat of Petty Blue one coat of yuck green and finally the original burgundy then found metal!!

Finally I had reached the first stage it was drivable and respectable and where did I take my CHARGER for its first trip ??? To Boerne Texas to the Charger registry what better place to christen it than that ??

This is the 70 Coronet I picked up in 1999 its a 92000 mile car from California with no rust! Got to  love that.   Oh but the big surprise it won't be exactly the same as when I started it really will not look like  a Coronet 440 closer to a Bee but not a clone.  I intend on driving this one to work on Fridays and enjoying it more than the Charger I have to much time and money to take the charger out on the High ways around Dallas  and take the chance of  some !@#$%^& running into it!  Here is a bunch of picture of the intire job!!!
