I am calling this gallery of the High Sierra’s lake Spaulding because that is the closest landmark by where I took these pictures. They are taken in a scenic valley in the high sierra’s in California near Emegrant Gap. In fact, this may be part of Emegrant gap, but I am not sure of that though. These pictures give you a sense of what the emegrants saw when they first came to California. Of course these are spring time photos, in the winter they would be covered by impassable snow.
