Mount Rose is located east of Lake Tahoe and south of Reno in the Sierra Nevada mountains. It has an elevation of about 8000 feet and boasts terrific skiing during the winter time and scenic hiking during the summer time. Here are some pictures I took on the eastern face of Mount Rose in the Toiyabe National Forest, near Galena Creek park. The pictures are in the order they were on my film and they get more impressive as they go along. (i.e. parts two and three have more impressive pictures than this page).
