Mount Ranier Approach
 
Part I

  Mt. Rainier is one of the largest mountains in the United States. Located in South-Eastern Washington, this monolith can be seen as far away as Seattle on a clear day. The summit has 25 different glaciers on it and is almost always covered with snow. Since it is so tall it creates its own weather patterns for the surrounding area and often causes the moist, air that reaches it do deposit its moisture. Here are some pictures from the road up the southern slope of the mountain. I have more of summit on a separate page.
