Yosemite, Eagle's Peak Collection

Growing up I always went back packing in and around Yosemite. It wasn't until a few years ago, it occurred to me to bring a camera. This is the first installment of my pictures from the mountains from around Yosemite. These are from a place overlooking the Yosemite valley, called Eagle's Peak. It is roughly across the valley from Half-dome and looks like it is the same height. Please send comments to:

All pictures were taken with a Cannon F1 using a 50mm lens. The film is Kodak 200 gold.

"Cloud Set"

Sunset reflected upon the clouds over the valleys past the Yosemite valley. Outdoor, photo at sunset.

"Eagle's View"

A view from an out cropping on Eagle's peak overlooking the valley and as well as half dome. This photo gives you an idea of how high up the peak really is. That is not quite the bottom you see on the far side of the valley, and it appears that you are higher than Half Dome. Outdoor, natural light photo.

"The Top"

Here is a picture of Janelle (left) and Veronique, two of the young ladies on the trip with me, atop Eagle's Peak, Though the scan came out dark(I couldn't get the blue sky and a light background) this is overlooking the Yosemite valley(Half-Dome is behind them) as well as the valleys beyond. Yes that is snow in the far distance. Outdoor, natural light photo.

"Misty Morning"

This is an early morning(someone woke me up at the crack of dawn to take a picture of that) photo where the sun is just rising over the valley. You can still see all the mist coming up. Early morning light, outdoor photo.
