Keiko (2004-2004)

Kira and Keiko are sisters who came to live with Molly & Will on Thursday, May 13, 2004, when they were seven-weeks-old. 

I met them a few days after they came home. Keiko was a Zen cat, for whom people are like weather. She clearly loved interacting with Dale more than her sister does. She is the fearless, gray-faced, almost blue-eyed kitten at left. 

Kira and Keiko were each other's favorite companions.

Sadly, Keiko died. Her life only a short fourteen weeks long. We don't know why she died, just that she crawled up into the box springs to do it. She had a happy life, even if it was short. She is survived by her littermate and best friend Kira, and her surrogate mom and puppy, Dale.

It's difficult to say if life is a little sadder or a little happier for her brief existence. She is missed, but she engendered love and affection in all who met her. Below is the memorial Will created for her.
