Observations, Opinions, Odds & Ends

These are personal comments and thoughts, such as one might form in a lifetime of observing our world and its residents. Some may be a bit controversial or not "politically correct", in the present vernacular, but they are mine. Whether they represent foolishness, wisdom, or the great gray middle is not for me to say.

Some have been, or might have been, sent to newspapers as "Letters to the Editor", but it's not easy to get them into actual publication. None of mine have made it so far.

Note added 7/05/08: Honoring George W. Bush

To honor George W Bush for his eight years of honorable public service, the Presidential Memorial Commission of San Francisco is sponsoring a ballot initiative this November. It reads ...

Should The City And County of San Francisco Rename The Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant the George W Bush Sewage Plant?

Comment added: What a fitting tribute to a president who has turned just about everything he touched to manure.
