For most sources used, the proper format to use in general is as follows:
- Authors Last Name, First Name. "Title of Article." Title of
Complete Work (Book).
- Volume number (if any). [Type of
Resource (if online)]. Place published:
- Publisher,
Date Published, Page numbers used.

- After the first line, indent each line 5 spaces.
- If there is more than one author, list the names in the order they appear.
However, only the first author is listed with their last name first.
- Be careful to use proper punctuation. (periods, quotation marks, underlining, colons,
commas, etc.)
- If typed, the title of the complete work can be italicized instead of underlined.
Specific examples of formats:
- Encyclopedia and Reference books (familiar / general types)
