        (Use the information gained through the background research to explain why your

             prediction may be correct.)

   

 

INDEPENDENT VARIABLE: (What is purposely changed before the experiment to

        test what will happen?)

       

 

DEPENDENT VARIABLE: (What must be measured numerically, recorded during the

        experiment, and answers the experiment's problem?)

       

 

CONTROL: (How is the independent variable left out of the control group of the

        experiment?)

       

 

MATERIALS: (What equipment, consumable supplies, measurement devices, and safety

        equipment are required for this experiment?)

       

 

CONSTANTS: (What is kept the same that could affect the dependent variable of the

        experiment?  Don't forget to consider materials used!)
