example: The following data from my results shows my hypothesis to be correct: the control group given no fertilizer only grew to an average height of 20 cm, the group given Generic fertilizer grew to an average height of 23 cm and the group of bean plants given the ACME fertilizer grew to an average height of 26 cm. Therefore, the group fertilized with ACME fertilizer grew an average of 3 cm taller than the bean plants given the Generic fertilizer and an average of 6 cm taller than the control group which received no fertilizer.
