• ACCURATE means measurements that are as close as possible to the actual amount.
  • Generally, the smaller the unit, the more accurate the measurement.
  • Careful technique (how you make the measurements) is necessary for accurate measurements.
  • A well constructed measuring device produces accurate measurements.

example: To make the experiment's data more accurate I would measure the height in millimeters instead of centimeters.  I would also carefully recheck each measurement 3 times.  I would use a well made metal ruler that is in perfect condition instead of a wooden ruler that is chipped and worn on the ends.
