Doctor Who Is Coming Back Into Style...

There's been a big resurgance of Doctor Who fandom across America, and here in Florida as well. As Florida's only fan-run & not-for-profit Doctor who events, we at both The Sci-Fi Sea Cruise & Hurricane Who want to work together to spread the word, and to spread the FUN, to all of the fans in Florida, and any other fans from elsewhere who may want to come on down & join us too. To make all that fun happen, we need YOUR support.


Florida Fandom Is Coming Back Too...

As many older Doctor Who fans may remember, Florida used to be a HUGE part of the world of Doctor Who fandom as we hosted the legendary series of Omnicon conventions throughout the 1980s. What you may not know yet is that we are gearing up to become a major destination for Who fans once again, with the Orlando/Central Florida region as our target. Florida has been the starting off point for most of the 15 Sci-Fi Sea Cruises regularly held since 1988 without ever having set sail yet from Port Canaveral, but we are seriously looking into changing that in the near future if Central Florida fans show us enough interest in our having one of our Doctor Who cruises depart from Port Canaveral. With the ongoing series of smaller Hurricane Parties, and the much larger upcoming full fledged Halloween 2009 Hurricane Who convention, we feel that the interest IS there, and we want to hear from YOU about it!


What Can You Do To Help?...

To keep things growing, you need to support and/or participate in our events as much as you can. Firstly, attend the Hurricane Parties, they're great fun, they're great value, and they help to support the bigger events yet to come. Next, support the Cruises, either by sailing along with us for an amazing vacation experience with your fellow fans & our wonderful celebrity guests, or if you simply can't be on board with us as an Attending Member, then you can still become a Supporting Member of the cruise and receive a program book signed by all of our cruise guests of honor and not just one but TWO cruise videos to enjoy, while helping to keep the event going, all for just a $25 donation, (click here for full info on cruise supporting memberships.) And of course, make your Halloween weekend plans to take part in the first Hurricane Who convention in Orlando, and help to make it become an annual event.
