Join Frazer Hines On A Fan-Tastic Voyage...

This is not Frazer's first trip with us, he is an old traveling mate of ours. He was originally scheduled to sailon our first ever cruise way back in November 1988 but had to cancel for a holiday panto play. He was once again scheduled to join us on our December 2003 cruise, only to have another panto commitment get in the way, but that time, he did record a special video appearance to be included in our first-ever video workshop production, so he was still with us in spirit. The third time was the charm, and on our October 2004 voyage he was finally able to join us in person, and we all had a great time sailing the Caribbean and filming a fun video with him, Sylvester McCoy, Lisa Bowerman, and Rob Shearman. Frazer made a repeat sailing with us in the spring of 2009 along with fellow cruise guests John Leeson & Laura Doddington, and supplied the voices of both Jamie & The Second Doctor in our creative workshop's audio drama produced on that year's voyage. Knowing Frazer for the fun loving guy that he is, it will no doubt be smooth sailing and loads of fun once again, and wisely, we're WELL clear of panto season again this time!

Frazer Hines was born on 22 September 1944 in Horsforth, Yorkshire. He studied acting at the Corona Academy and made his professional debut at the age of eight. By the age of fifteen he had appeared in six films. Further stage, TV and film work followed. After his three-year stint as Jamie in Doctor Who he resumed the life of a jobbing actor until 1972, when he was cast in the soap opera "Emmerdale Farm" as Joe Sugden - a role he has played ever since. In between making episodes of Emmerdale, as it was renamed in the eighties, he has continued a career in the theatre and made occasional appearances in other TV shows, including two Doctor Who reunion stories, "The Five Doctors" and "The Two Doctors", and has since also reprised the role of Jamie for the Big Finish line of audio dramas. He is also a noted amateur jockey, and has an autobiography, "Hines Sight", currently available.
