WILLIAM PETER OWEN
("Willie OWEN") (JOSEPH WILLIAM5
("JOE BILL" or "BILL") OWEN, TABITHA4 LEECH OWEN, JOHN3,
JOHN2, DAVID1, UNKNOWN0) was born on
3 July 1855 in Hart County, Kentucky. He married Martha Wood,
daughter of George W. Wood and Sarah M. Downey, on 14 March
1874 at Laclede County, Missouri. In 1882 he joined the Baptist
church at old Antioch of which he was a charter member and
one of its first deacons. He died on 13 July 1934 and is buried
at Oakland Cemetry (row 3, grave 2), LaClede County, Missouri, at
age 79. Found in 1930.
Obituary:
He William
P. Owens, 79, died Sunday morning after a long illness.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at the Antioch
church, the Rev G.W.H Davidson officiating. Burial was
at the Oakland cemetery. "Uncle Willis", as he was known
among his friends in the Hazel Dell district was born in Kentucky,
July 3, 1855, and came with his parents to Missouri about 1870.
In 1882, he joined the Baptist church at old Antioch of which
he was a charter member and one of its first deacons. He
was a faithful member, attending the services until his health prevented.
He married Martha Wood in 1883(?), who preceded him in death July
14, 1925. The survivors are his three foster sons: Sammie
Owen of Oakland, Clarence Ogletree of Carson, Ia. and Herman Zeither
of Glenwood Springs, Colorado; a brother, Isaac Owen of Waubleau
and a sister, whose wherabouts is unknown on 13 July 1934 at Oakland,
Laclede County, Missouri.

She married Willis Worth Edwards, son of JOHN BURKS EDWARDS and REBECCA ELIZABETH HARDY, on 27 April 1876 at Laclede County, Missouri. She died on 25 January 1900 (?), Laclede County, Missouri, at age 42. But found in 1900 Census. WILLIS WORTH EDWARDS was born 26 Aug 1848, Barren County, KY, died 21 Aug 1928 in Missouri. Buried New Hope Cemetery. Found in 1920. Children of Florinda Owen and Willis Worth Edwards include:
i. Jennie Edwards married Arthur Cole, 23 Nov 1910,
Creek
County, Oklahoma.. She was born on 24 February 1877
at Laclede County, Missouri. Found in 1920. MAUDE COLE and VIRGINIA
COLE, buried in Old
Sapulpa Cemetery, Sapulpa, Creek County, Oklahoma, may be their
infant children.
ii. Georgia Edwards was born on 3 October 1878 at
Laclede County, Missouri. She married Henry S. Jones on
4 December 1904 at Laclede County, Missouri. Son Ralph found in 1920.
iii. Maggie
Edwards married SAMUEL E. ONSTATT. She was born in November
1880 in Laclede County, Missouri. She died in 1968.
SAMUEL E. ONSTATT was born 15 Nov 1884 in Missouri, and died
Jul 1962 in Oklahoma.
iv. Carrie
Edwards married Thomas Palmer. She was born in January
1882 at Laclede County, Missouri. Found in 1920.
v. Martha
Edwards married Homer Ball. She was born on 1 September
1885 at Laclede County, Missouri. She died on 7 February
1911 and is buried at New Hope Cemetery, Laclede County, Missouri,
at age 25.

Edwards married Ross Guinn, 23 Jun 1909, Creek County,
OK. She was born in June 1888 at Laclede County, Missouri.

91. ELIJAH WALTER OWEN (JOSEPH WILLIAM5 ("JOE BILL" or "BILL") OWEN, TABITHA4 LEECH OWEN, JOHN3, JOHN2, DAVID1, UNKNOWN0) was born on 10 January 1867 in Hart County, Kentucky. He married Ruth Ann Overlin, daughter of John Harrison Overlin and Eletha Isabell Davis, on 5 December 1894 at Lebanon, Missouri. He died on 19 July 1910, buried at Oakland Cemetry, (row 7, grave 9) Laclede County Missouri - died of typhoid fever, Missouri, at age 43. Found in 1910. Children of Elijah Walter OWEN and Ruth Ann OVERLIN include:
i. Ora Belle Owen was born on 17 November 1896 at
Lebanon County, Missouri. She died on 26 October 1975
at Casper, Wyoming, at age 78. Found in 1910.
ii. Dona Francis Owen married J. Edward Wilkes.
She married A. J. Clapp. She was born on 21 October 1898 at
Lebanon County, Missouri. She died on 30 October 1980 at Basin,
Wyoming, at age 82. Found in
1910.
iii. Walter
Harrison Owen was born on 16 February 1901 at Lebanon
County, Missouri. He married Georgia McPhillamey on 18 June
1933. He died on 14 November 1987 at Buffalo, Wyoming, at age
86. Found in 1910.
iv. Jessie May Owen was born on 23 July 1904
at Laclede County, Missouri. She married John David Blue
on 2 September 1924. She died on 26 May 1992 at Las Cruces,
New Mexico, at age 87. Found
in 1910.
v. Ruby
Viola Owen was born on 23 July 1908 at Laclede County,
Mo. She married George L. Klocksiem, son of Helmuth L. Klockziem
and Fleda M. Wolker, on 27 September 1930 at On the corner of 5th
and ? in a house, Casper, Natrona, Wyoming. On 16 March 1970 her
name was legally changed to Klockziem On this date, George L. Klockziem
offically changed the spelling of his name from "ziem" to
"siem" thru the district court of Natrona County, Wyoming. She died
on 17 June 1991 at Casper, Natrona, Wyoming, at age 82. GEORGE
L. KLOCKSIEM was born 1905 in Michigan.
