He married JUDITH or JUDA MARTIN ("JUDY") Abt. 1845 in Hart Co. Kentucky, daughter of ISAAC MARTIN and MARTHA (PATSY) MARTIN. She was born May 01, 1814 in Hart Co. Ky, and died January 07, 1895 in Hardin Co. Iowa, buried Sheppard Cemetery. The MARTINs were from Halifax County, VA.

Buried Sheppard Cemetery (also b/1/5).

At one time he had
a farm near Macy, Hardin County, Iowa
In 1888 he bought
part of Section 9 in Union Twp.
