A Wonderful Holiday Season

Hello,

I hope all of you enjoyed a wonderful holiday season.  We had a peaceful and joyous Christmas morning at home opening presents and baking.  We then spent the afternoon with Scott's entire family.  The flurry of gift opening is a site to see as the 7 grandchildren tear through the mounds of presents.  Paper was flying everywhere and presents were later discovered unopened under the mounds of ripped paper.  Paige was happy to get her big girl Dora bike, a camera, and calico kittys.  She took her bike for a test spin, but it has been put up until better weather arrives.  Right now we have 12 inches of snow on the ground so making snowmen, snow angles and going sledding are more interesting.

In adoption news we found out right before Christmas that our records have been reviewed and approved.  They had no questions or concerns with any of our documents so now we wait to be matched with a child.  I wish I could give you more information about when that will be, but we don't have any idea at this time.  Paige keeps us busy enough right now so the wait is not so bad.

Paige continues to enjoy preschool.  She comes home talking all about her day and brings me home lots of art work to decorate our house with.  Now if only she would use the potty life would be good.  She knows how, she just won't.  I know she'll get it when she's ready to, but for now it is a source of frustration for our family.

Here's to a great 2008!
