I know, I know, I've been neglecting this site. Actually I've been having technical difficulties and hopefully have resolved them to the best of my abilities. So now onto what we've been up to. August found us celebrating Paige's 2nd "Forever Family Day" anniversary. It seems hard to believe it's been two years since she was first placed in my arms. We watched her as she learned to walk, use signs to communicate, learn to talk, and learn to talk back. Paige started preschool in September. To prepare her we found a babysitter she likes, and too her to visit her school and her teacher several times before school started. On the first day of school she took her lovie and a family picture to help her through the day. There were some tears, but otherwise things went well. On the second day she was crying when I left, but was told she stopped once they got her involved in activities. By the Third day she was excited to go and there were no tears. No she asks me if it's a school day and she comes home talking non-stop about what she did at school.
October came and we celebrated Paige's birthday with three (yes 3) parties. She had one at school, a Halloween party with playgroup, and a party for family at Grandma Harris' house. She was showered with gifts and ate lots of sugary treats. The theme for the party at Grandma's house was "princesses", her favorite thing lately. The cupcakes were decorated with pink frosting and princess candies. They were arranged into the shape of a crown. She even had a pink crown she wore that her teacher had made for her. Our girl sure loves pink! The sugar high continued as we were joined by her friend Bella to go trick or treating. The girls then had their first sleep over together. To be sure they slept we put them in separate rooms.
November has been quiet. We were all sick for Thanksgiving and for the week after so we are just now feeling better. Thanksgiving was spent with Scott's family and since we were all sick I don't have a single picture (despite remembering to take the camera). Just think turkey, lots of family, and Scott, Amy, and Paige all sounding sick and laying on various couches and beds throughout the day.
Now that I've bored you with my words, here are the pictures!
Amy
Happy Birthday Paige!
Bella and Paige ready to trick or treat.
