@Jordan River - Brown, Rainbow Trout; Channel Catfish; Sunfish; White and Largemouth Bass; Walleye; Carp; Suckers. Flows from Utah Lake to the Great Salt Lake through the heart of Utah's urban areas in Utah and Salt Lake counties. Most of the trout are planted in the early spring and are cuaght shortly after they are planted. A few manage to live through the summer and get big. Several trout in the 3 to 4 pound range are caught in the river each year. This is an underutilized resource that more anglers should take advantage of. The bass and walleye fishing can be fast at times and catfish make a fine alternative if the bass fishing is slow. Utah's Catch-and-Release record (24" on 03/31/02) for the Utah Sucker was landed here.
