- Trout limit: 4, but only 1 can be a Cutthroat Trout 22 inches or larger.

campground.

@Pelican Lake - Contains Largemouth Bass and Bluegill, Green Sunfish, and
Catfish. Not stocked. Located in Uintah County. Access east from Roosevelt on U.S. 40 to U-88,
south on U-88 to lake. Boat ramp. Recieves heavy pressure. Bluegill have winter-killed for
several years. Not many adult fish left. The spawn has been successful but Bluegill fishing
will remain poor for several more years. Bass fishing has also been hurt and fishing is
generally slow. The Catch-and-Release record (10 1/2" on 05/29/00) for Green Sunfish, and the
Catch-and-Release record (11 1/4" on 01/30/00) for Bluegill where all landed here.
- Bass limit 6; but only 1 bass larger than 15 inches.

on U-12 to the boundary of Bryce Canyon north toward Widtsoe Junction, 10 miles to Pine Lake
sign, 5 miles east to the lake. Forest Service campground, picnic areas, drinking water, boat
ramp for small boats. Small lake in a spectacular setting. Drained in 1987 for dam repairs.
Filled in early 1988 and stocked with catchable Rainbow.
@Pine Lake Inflow - Located in Garfield County.

@Pine Valley Reservoir - Contains Rainbow Trout. Stocked with catchables.
Located in Washington County. No boat ramps. Camping in the area.

Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, Crappie, Perch, Bullheads, Tiger Muskie, and a few Trout.
Located in Weber County. Not stocked. Fishing can be real fast for the Perch. Try the upper
arms near the inlets. Some private property. Boat ramp and camping. Heavy recreational boat
use. Both the angling record (31lbs. 4oz. in 2001) and the Catch-and-Release record (53 1/4"
on 11/28/98) for the Tiger Muskellunge where landed here.
- Black Crappie limit 20
- Minimum bass size is 15 inches.
- CLOSED inside buoys by spillway near dam.
- Tiger Muskie limit 1; all Tiger Muskies less than 40 inches must be immediately released.
- Unlawful to use whole fish or amphibians, including water dogs, for bait. Cut bait must
not be larger than one inch in any dimension and no more than one piece per hook.

@Posey Lake - Contains Rainbow and Brook Trout. Take highway U-12 to Posey Lake
from Boulder. Camping nearby. Small boats.
@Porcupine Reservoir - Contains
Kokanee Slamon; Cutthroat, Brown and Rainbow Trout. Currently stocking Splake. Located in
Cache County. Access south of Hyrum on U-165; southeast of Avon follow the East Fork of the
Little Bear River to the reservoir. Surrounded by private ground, access by graded dirt road.
No launching facilities. Limited camping in area.

counties. Campgrounds, concessions, other facilities at various points on the river. Excellent
natural Brown Trout stream with trout up to 20 pounds. One of the most heavily fished rivers
in the state. Some private land in Wasatch County. Utah's Catch-and-Release record for
Mountain Whitefish (23") was landed here on 11/28/97. Along with the state's angling record
(15lbs. 9oz. in 1991) for Walleye.
East from Center Street Bridge (entrance to Utah Lake State Park) to I-15 (Utah
County):

Beaver. Campgrounds, boats, cafe, lodge, condos. popular ski resort nearby.
@Quail Creek Reservoir - (Quail Lake) Contains Bass and Rainbow Trout. Stocked
with Rainbow Fingerlings. Located in Washington County. Excellent facilities including boat
ramps and camping. The Utah angling record (3lbs. 2oz. in 1993) was landed at this
reservoir.
- Bass over 20 inches: limit 2.
- Bass under 10 inches: limit 4.
- All bass between 10 and 20 inches must be immediately released.
@Quail Lake - Contains Largemouth Bass and Black Crappie. Holds the state
Catch-and-Release record (27" on 03/29/98) for Largemouth Bass, and the state
Catch-and-Release record (15 1/4" on 07/06/01) for Black Crappie.
@Rainbow Reservoir - Located in Tooele County on the Deseret Chemical Depot.
- OPEN to fishing May 1 through October 31 during daylight hours. (A gate will be closed
and locked from dusk to dawn. Facility CLOSED November 1 through December 31 and January 1
through April 30. Shore fishing only.)
@Recapture Reservoir - Contains Rainbow and Brook Trout. No access problems.
Boat ramp and camping. Lots of 11 to 13 inch trout.
@Redmond Reservoir - Contains
Northern Pike, Catfish, Bass. This is Utah's best Northern Pike fishery. Contains a warm
spring that keeps the central protion of the lake ice free most of the winter. Good ice
fishing away from the warm spring. Access directly south of the town of Redmond. Gravel boat
ramp for smaller boats, no camping.
@Red Butte Creek and Red Butte Reservoir - Located in Salt Lake County.
@Red Cedar Creek - Located in Juab Counties Deep Creek Mountains.
@Red Creek Reservoir and Tributaries - Contains Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout.
Located in Duchesne County. Access via U.S. 40 to Fruitland then north, 15 miles on dirt road
to the reservoir. No facilities.

@Road Hollow - Located in Wasatch County. See Strawberry Reservoir

@Rock Creek - Contains Rainbow, Brown, Brook Trout. Beautiful small stream on
the west flank of the Uintas. Upper Stillwater Reservoir on it's upper reaches.
@Rockport Reservoir - (Wanship Reservoir) Contains Rainbow, Brown Trout, and
Bass. Stocked with fingerling Rainbow. Located in Summit County. Elevation 6,0000 feet. Access
south 1 1/2 miles from Wanship on U.S. 189. State park, camgrounds, picnic areas, as well as
nearby motels and cafes.

@Rush Lake - Contains Smallmouth Bass and Bluegill. Access just south of
Stockton. Heavy use by recreational boaters. Boat ramp.

Fish the creek, not just the ponds. Good fishing till late July.
@San Juan River - Contains Channel Catfish and Carp. Located in San Juan County.
Access pints at Bluff, Mexican Hat, Clay Hills (jeep trail) via U.S. 163 or U-263. Various
facilities nearby.
@San Pitch River - Contains Brown and Rainbow Trout. Pretty good Brown Trout
stream. Lots of private land so access may be difficult. Ask permission first!
@Sand Hollow Reservoir - Located in Washington County.
@Santa Clara River - Contains Rainbow, Brown, Brook Trout. Located in Washington
County. Fishing is good from Veyo at U-18 northeast to Pine Valley. Various towns and
facilities nearby.
@Scipio Lake - Contains Largemouth Bass and Bluegill. Access east of Scipio on
Highway 50. No facilities.
@Scofield Reservoir - Contains
Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout. Elevation 7,630 feet. Located in Carbon and Utah Counties. Access
near Scofield via U-96. State park, modern restrooms, campgrounds, boats. Poopular ice
fishing destination. Boat ramp and camping. Heavy pressure.
@Scofield Reservoir Tributaries - Located in Carbon, Sanpete, and Utah
Counties.

@Settlement Canyon Reservoir - Contains Rainbow Trout. Stocked with catchables.
No boat ramps or camping.

@Sevenmile Creek - Contains Cutthroat and Brook Trout. Elevation is 8,700 feet.
This wild trout (not stocked) stream is located just north of Johnson Reservoir north of Loa.
There are several campgrounds in the area. The fish are small and numerous.
@Sevier Bridge Reservoir (Yuba) - Contains Perch, Walleye, Northern Pike,
Catfish, Bass. State park, boat ramps. Excellent early spring get-away. Good walleye run just
after ice-out in the spring. Generally slow fishing.
@Sevier River, East Fork - Contains
Rainbow, Brown and Cutthroat Trout. Located in Piute County. Access along U-22 from Antimony
or Bryce Canyon. Used up for irrigation in its upper reaches. Runs through a steep-sided
canyon for much of it's length above Otter Creek Reservoir. Difficult to fish with lots of
steep slopes, brush and rocks. Below Otter Creek Reservoir access is good.
@Sevier River, West Fork - Contains Rainbow, Brown, Cutthroat Trout; Whitefish,
Carp and Suckers. Located in Piute County. Access via Highway 89 between hatch and
Circleville.
@Sevier River Proper - Contains Brown and Rainbow Trout; Walleye; Channel
Catfish; Smallmouth Bass; Perch; Suckers; Carp. Flows through Garfield, Piute, Sevier,
Sanpete, Juab and Millard counties. Bass, Catfish, Northern Pike and Walleye fishing from
Redmond to Yuba Reservoir and Walleye, bass and catfishing below DMAD reservoir. Some trout
where the East Fork enters the main river and below Piute dam.
@Sheep Creek - Contains Cutthroat, Rainbow, Brown Trout. and Kokanee. Located
in Daggett County.
From Flaming Gorge Reservoir, upstream to Ashely National Forest boundary:

@Stateline Reservoir - Located in Summit County.
@Steinaker Reservoir - Contains Rainbow Trout, and Bass. Located in Uintah
County. Elevation 4,500 feet. North of Vernal via U-44. State park, boat ramp, picnic areas,
camping, modern restrooms.
- Bass limit 6; only 1 may be larger than 15 inches.
@Stoddard Slough - Contains Rainbow
and Brown Trout. Enterprise Ditch located in Morgan County.
@Strawberry Reservoir - Contains Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout; Kokanee. Located
in Wasatch County. Elevation 7,557 feet. U.S. 40 east of Heber City. Poisoned in 1990 and
restocked. Campgrounds, boat ramps, Strawberry Bay and Soldier Creek marinas, equipment, bait,
cafe. This body of water claims both the angling record (26lbs. 12oz. in 1930) and the
Catch-and-Release record (26" on 05/09/01) for Cutthroat Trout. Also home of the angling
record (6lbs in 1995) for Kokanee Salmon.
- Limit 4 trout or kokanee salmon in the aggregate.
- No more than 2 may be cutthroat trout under 15 inches, and no more than 1 may be a
cutthroat trout 22 inches or larger.
- All cutthroat trout between 15 and 22 inches must be immediately released.
- Anglers are encouraged to voluntarily release all cutthroat trout.

@Trial Lake Reservoir - Contains
Grayling, Rainbow and Brook Trout. Beautiful lake in the high Uintas of Summit County, along
the Mirror Lake Highway SR-150. Generally not open until the first of June. Popular camping
area in a spectacular alpine setting.

@Tropic Reservoir - Contains Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout. Elevation is 7,831
feet. Go south from Panguitch on U.S. 89, east on U-12 to Bryce Canyon Toad, take dirt road
south along the East Fork of the Sevier River, along the edge of Bryce Canyon national park,
to the reservoir. Big pine trees and very pretty place. Boat ramp.

@Twenty First Street Pond - Contains Rainbow Trout. Access off of Twenty First
Street in Ogden. Stocked heavily in the spring and again in the fall. Popular place to take
the kids. Excellent ice fishing in the early winter.

County. Tributary to Fish Lake.
