Steve's Atmospheric Phenomena
My luck with rainbows has been limited. I never seem to be in the right place at the right time, or I don't have my camera along.
I've got a couple of nice catches, and having the fisheye converter for the Nikon 4500 has been most helpful.
This image seems to capture the basic elements of the rainbow. The reversed colors between the primary and secondary bows, and the
higher scattering inside of the primary and outside of the secondary bows. It really did look like a laser was projecting this rainbow!
Mt
Wrightson is in the background.
Here's one taken with the fisheye converter.
Here's another one taken with the fisheye converter. Both bows are fully formed horizon to horizon.
