The Process

The class will be divided into five teams.

    Team 1:     Union Pacific Rail Road

    Team 2:     Central Pacific Rail Road

    Team 3:     Plains Indians

    Team 4:     Plains Settlers

    Team 5:     Govenment/Military

Each student will take on roles for their team and write newspaper articles, create a 3-dimensional object, design maps and write personal letters that reflect their part in the construction of the transcontinental railroad.
