I'm a relatively normal guy. Really. I'm softspoken, goodnatured, and much beloved by animals. Not scary at all. Sure, I write horror fiction ... but I wouldn't even hurt a fly. I live with my wife and dog in a quiet seaside town on the North Shore of Boston, writing my stories and consulting on freelance web and software projects.

Writing

My writing falls into two broad categories—technical content and fiction. The former consists of web content and software documentation, but the latter is a labor of love.

Update 9/11/2005. My collaboration with Dan Keohane, "I Am the Ocean," just came out in Feral Fiction.

Software design

I have designed quite a few web sites and software systems, and am also available for consulting on a wide variety of projects.
