Two sisters, one brother and a son, with passports in hand
traveled far to visit our ancestors
land.
Many years ago, all four of our grand-parents traveled across
the seas to the "promised land" of
America,
and
this has been a life long dream of ours full- filled by visiting
the place our ancestors
were
born.
Our first day in Sweden we traveled to the city of Stockholm, and met a new friend Hedde, who so graciously opened up her home to
the four of
us. We
arrived
there
after
dark,
and
she
had a
candle
burning
on her
doorstep
to
show
us the
way.......
While we were there, we did a lot of sight seeing, and a lot of walking. From Hedde's home, we boarded a train that took us into
the big city.
We toured the Palace of King Carl XV1 Gustaf, and watched as the
guards stood at attention, guarding the Palace.
Stockholm is a large city, and full of beautiful things to see.
