"Friendship
Link"
A
wooden bridge is like a
friendship link
In meeting friends in
the middle from another
side
New friends can be near
or very far away
But friends just the
same, with whom we abide.
My
sister and I, through
the web pages we've made
Have walked over the
bridge almost every day
In reaching the middle
we've found many new
friends
Some living nearby while
others live far away.
We've met people next
door and in other states
From neighboring
countries and across the
sea
Both genders and all
ages, from young to old
From all walks of life,
even the military.
We've
served coffee to all,
some with sugar and
cream
And Tabby the cat greets
each friend at the door
But most important of
all is the friends we
have made
And with all we've
gained, we couldn't ask
for more.
Thank
you for walking the
wooden bridge halfway
And for meeting in the
middle and spending time
with us
We appreciate your
friendship and the joy
that you bring
You are wonderful and
great and just plain
marvelous!

"You've Got a
Friend"
As I dream of a place with a bridge
the water running gently below
a flower garden blooming near
what a beautiful place to go

A wonderful place to dream of
friends
those from the past, those who are new
to forever be there for them
whether they are happy or blue

A garden of flowers is so like our friends
each one so different in their own little way
to be without them is hard to imagine
for them I thank God each and every day

As with flowers, some friendships blossom
and get closer and closer each day
some friendships fade with time
and turn our sunny days into gray

If there's ever a time you wish to say hello
or some time you wish to spend
I hope that I am always able to
say
In me . . .
You've Got A Friend

"You've
Got A Friend"
Recorded by James Taylor
When you’re down and troubled
And you need a helping hand
And nothing, whoa nothing is going right.
Close your eyes and think of me
And soon I will be there
To brighten up even your darkest nights.
You just call out my name
And you know where ever I am
I’ll come running, oh yeah baby
To see you again.
Winter, spring, summer, or fall
All you have to do is call
And I’ll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah
You’ve got a friend.
If the sky above you
Should turn dark and full of clouds
And that old north wind should begin to blow
Keep your head together and call my name out
loud
And soon I will be knocking upon your door.
You just call out my name and you know where
ever I am
I’ll come running to see you again
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you got to do is call
And I’ll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Hey, ain’t it good to know that you’ve got a
friend?
People can be so cold
They’ll hurt you and desert you.
Well, they’ll take your soul if you let them.
Oh yeah, but don’t you let them.
You just call out my name and you know wherever
I am
I’ll come running to see you again
Oh babe, don’t you know that
Winter spring summer or fall.
Hey now, all you’ve got to do is call
Lord, I’ll be there, yes I will.
You’ve got a friend
You’ve got a friend.
Ain’t it good to know you’ve got a friend
Ain’t it good to know you’ve got a friend
You’ve got a friend.
