The apex of the cruise was Hubbard Glacier. The ship sailed the length of Yakutat Bay to its head where it entered Disenchantment Bay and the advancing Hubbard Glacier. The constant loud cracking sounds were punctuated with the thunderous roar of numerous ice calving incidents.
