Stanley Park and the Seawall Walk

This page is divided into two sections. The TOP half features photos taken while strolling Stanley Park and making occasional use of the park's free trolley. Each photo is lettered from A to H. The map included in the bottom section contains the corresponding letter to mark the spot where each of these photos was taken. Several photos (B through E) were shot while walking along the park's Seawall Walk, which can accommodate walkers, joggers, skaters and cyclists. The other photos are a hodgepodge from various spots including the Vancouver Aquarium, one of the many park attractions.

Cycling the Stanley Park Seawall Walk

The top section of this page included photos (B through E) shot while walking the Seawall Walk, up to the area of the totem poles prior to Brockton Point.

This section is entirely devoted to the rest of the Seawall journey and includes photos shot exclusively on my Seawall bike ride. The numbers 1 through 19 on the map indicate where each of these photos was shot. A thumbnail for each of these photos is to the right of the map and is likewise numbered. Click on each numbered thumbnail to enlarge the photo taken at that spot and to see its caption.

I rented my bike from Spokes Bicycle & Espresso Bar located near the Coal Harbor entrance to Stanley Park. They provide excellent service, quality bikes, and great value. Should I ever return to Vancouver I would spend more than 2 nights and spend at least an entire afternoon biking. The city's network of bike and walking paths extend well beyond Stanley Park.
