While the majority of the music written for natural trumpet (a long and looped trumpet with no valves) is from the time of J.S. Bach, our new CD features a body of repertoire written for the natural trumpet after the baroque, that for the most part remains largely unexplored. While striving to remain historically responsible, our consort is also pushing the boundaries of the natural trumpet by performing works of L. Mozart, C.P.E. Bach, W.A. Mozart, Wagner, Dvorák, Britten, and by commissioning a new work from Boston area composer Marti Epstein.

The concert also features organist Sheila Bristow, soprano Linda Tsatsannis, soprano Lisa Cardwell Pontén, and baroque cellist Nathan Whittaker. We look forward to seeing you there!
