Tough

Times are a bit on the tough side with layoffs at work. This is especially tough when the layoffs are global and you manage a global team - never mind worrying about yourself! But it could be a blessing in disguise as it were, as I could move on to another role (which I've wanted to do for several months) or be forced to leave which could initiate a refreshing change. Either way, I'm trying to transcend the crap Tao-style.

I am moving to the blog format so I can more easily update things on the news front, and get all of the latest breaking news to the "demanding public" (aka my mom, and Chip).

Had a fun time hanging and RAWKing with the extended Steve Liberace Band - adding horns and percussion for the last Emergenza gig at North Star Bar in Philly this past Saturday. I don't want to disparage Emergenza - so I will refrain from chronicling the experience here. Let's say I was not overwhelmed by the crew or the participants - why would you let white supremist bands into your contest unless you're trying to make a quick buck?

Thanks to Man In China for letting me jam with them on Sunday as well - a welcome end to the weekend festivities!

Also - just back from seeing Revenge of the Sith. Overall, it's a good flick - good in that a) it's vastly superior to the last two films in nearly every aspect, and b) I left the theater chatting with my family about how differently we interpreted the actions of the characters in the original trilogy having now seen the the circumstances and actions of those same characters in the background story presented by this film. In summary, Lucas successfully pulls things together, and gives you a glimpse of the tragic characters through is own eyes. A healthy achievement over the watch-it-and-forget-it tone of the last two episodes. Anyway, it's worth 8 bucks...
