Just returned from OR and WA, on the red eye, having spent the better part of 10 days visiting Ker's extended family. Thanks again to the Miller/Duncan clan for the fantastic time! Pics are up.

Speaking of Malvern - Anyone in the Malvern, PA area definitely needs to check out Cosimo Restaurant & Wine Bar. Ker & I had a fantastic meal there earlier tonight; the food is superb, but the real draw for me was seeing (and imbibing! ) the huge selection of wines, nearly 50 of which are available by the glass (thanks to some very fancy wine preservation / storage systems in house). Make your own wine flights, etc... fantastic stuff. The wine director, Jason Whiteside, is an excellent guy and a personal friend - but more importantly, he knows his stuff and has picked some amazing wines that mere paupers like me can sample by the glass (as we'd usually not be able to spring for such expensive stuff otherwise).

The afterlife is about to get way, way, WAY funkier with the passing of a legend. As sad as that news was to hear, this is even worse (but for very different reasons); be afraid...

Back in business with the SL Band next weekend. It's been awhile, & I'm looking forward to getting back behind the bass, in front of a crowd, & in the middle of a burnin' number!

Also - took the WSET Advanced Cert. Wine exam this week. Overall, it felt good & I think I did well - will know in a few weeks after they grade the exams back in Jolly Old.
