"What do they call you, 'Wheels'?!??"

Well. Things have been busy!

The wheels of life have been turning, and for the most part, I've been going along for the ride.

Most of the Roberts / Catalino clan have been nursing some form or another of a cold, and I'm no exception. Triumph is under new management and have suspended all music acts beginning this month - that includes us in the SL Band. So I've been trying to make the most of the unplanned break. This has included lots and lots of baby prep (see surprise baby shower pics in this post), birth classes, daydreaming about how awesome the new Iron Man movie might be, practicing music, and hitting the wine blog at (more or less) full tilt (with wine reviews now being posted at both Twitter and Chateau Petrogasm, and the kick-off of the 1WineDude Schwag Store). Oh, yeah - and my day job.

Despite being thrown between the wheels on the Triumph gigs, all has not been totally quiet on the music front.

First, I'm featured on several tracks of the new Steve Liberace on-line compilation release, Banged-Up Classics. Check out Steve's website for links to the downloads (you can also stream the tunes on-line from there). Next, the SL Band has received some press over at Spark to promote the launch of Banged-Up Classics. You can check out the band pics and interview with Steve here. And finally, I may be teaming up with members of Eye Level to write and record some instrumental material for use on MTV. Stay tuned.

And finally - to cap off the Wheels theme - check out this cool vid of Peter Mulvey's "Look Ma, No Gasoline" Tour.

Cheers!
