First off, a very happy b-day to my awesome wife, who is becoming an incredible mom.
Next, much congrats to Amy & Tim, who got hitched in DE yesterday.
I want to wish a Happy Fathers Day to my friends & family who are dads, blessedly too many to mention here. Most of you have inspired me to live up to your example, and I suppose I've made it no secret that I so far I love fatherhood!
In music news: Don't forget that the
Summer Solstice Festival 2008 is nearly upon us! The
SL Band will be playing (as usual), and the festival is always an awesome time. Just 6 days away - see you there!
Finally - another great
Rush show last night in Philly. Not the best Rush performance I've seen musically, but a great show in terms of how much the band fed off of the Philly crowd, who were just totally into the show and rocking out from start to finish. And just a great, great time catching up with my buddies at the show.
Witness crappy cell phone camera shots of the show below:

I also found
some shots of last night's Rush show on the 'net that were taken by someone who was either in our section or really, really close to it, because they capture our viewing angle of the performance nearly perfectly. Rush.com has show pics posted in the
Rush on the Road section.
I have taken a picture from each source which shows my friend and former band mate Dave having the time of his life front row / center at the show. Dave is a very tall guy, so it stands to reason that the concert goers in the 2 or 3 rows immediately behind Dave probably did not have the same ear-to-ear grin that Dave is sporting in these shots :-).
If you don't know Dave, look for the really tall guy with brown hair and the largest grin in the following photos:

Cheers!
